Monkeys Galore
[Monday, December 8th]
Yesterday, Sunday, was a kinda bipolar day. The morning started bad. Cafe Milagro, our destination for breakfast, was closed. We decided to go into the local town of Quespos, but the bus took forever to arrive. Once there, with it being Sunday, everything was closed. We did manage to find a bakery, and a coffee shop, but other than that, not much shopping to be found. The bus ride back to Villa Nicholos was horrid, as we had to stand during the twisting, very uphill ride, and we had bought big bottles of water in town to carry back.
In the evening our fortunes changed. We decided to head up to the open air sports bar on top of a hill to watch a little NFL on the big screen and knock back a few tall ones. It was all Laura's idea. Just as we were ready to leave, to get dinner further up the hill, we noticed a comotion in the parking lot. About 2 dozen squirel
monkeys were all over one the guys from the bar who was feeding them bannas. After he runs out of monkey food, he runs up to the bar to get more, and wham it's invasion of the monkys inside the bar. It was awesome. One of the guys gave Laura and I some banna and we took turns feeding them. That was more awesome. The monkyes in Costa Rica are very comfortable with humans, and will eat right out of your hands.
After that wild adventure, we strolled up to a beautiful resturant overlooking the tropical forest and the big blue ocean. The resturant, named Salsipuedes, specializes in Tapas and once in a life time sunsets, both of which it delivered in spectacular fashion. After diner, back to the bar for more football, and to shoot a couple of games of pool. Just another day in paradise.

That's amazing. definitely not something you'd see around here.
The really cool thing is that none of them invited me out for tea, or wanted to practice their English.
